Trip ideas for a mom & 17 year old daughter? |
We're located on the east coast and looking for trip ideas. I love the beach and relaxing/spas and she's more adventurous and looking for a biking tour or something interesting... not just sitting around. I'd bike and explore, but don't want to drive 6 hours to Vermont to get there. Here are the parameters: 1. Must be somewhere we can travel without a passport. 2. Budget is about $1000 a person for 4-6 days 3. No cruises/resorts as she'd end up participating in the teen program and I'd be on my own which sort of defeats the purpose of a mother/daughter trip together. This is what she tells me, anyway. Ideas? go canoeing, there is a place in massachusetts, maine, new hampshire.. it is adventerous and it includes picnics on the riverside. Look online for canoeing tour businesses and guides. rent a cabin out on a lake like Lake George in New York. Or some lake close by. Rent a boat and go out on the lake, or rent jet skis. I know my mom did that with my sister and they both have very fond memories. California Florida Texas(lotsa fatty burgers) |
