Goldwing Navi/ABS vs Harley Ultra Classic Electra Glide, which would you buy, and why?

just came back from my first bike tour down the coast, and had an AMAZING time. I am seriously considering trading in my suzuki gsz-r for a touring bike. I am currently looking at Harley Electra Glide, and Goldwing. Goldwing is loaded up and seems to be the ultimate luxury in touring bikes, but there is still a part of me that is drawn towards the Harley for the style, and brand. I will see if I can test drive, but thought I'd post question and see what folks think. any pointers are appreciated.

buy the hog if you want to impress others. - - buy the 'wing if you want impress yourself.
the hog says 'look at me', and the honda says 'where to today?'
the honda is a much better performing bike too, and you don't have to spend money on various 'stage' kits to get it to really run.
BUY AMERICAN!!! Enough said!
It depends on whether you want to ride it or polish it.Harleys are loud and noisy and the Goldwing has stereo and gets around the corners without leaving scratches on chrome tailpipes.Goldwing riders need longer legs to hold themselves up at the lights.Harley riders may be deaf, but they are comfortable down there and dont need as many pitstops to stretch their legs.
I prefer american. those gold wings are almost too comfortable id be afraid of dozing off thinking i was in a lazyboy.
Buy American? The Honda is built in Marysville, Ohio. A lot of the parts on that Harley will have made in China stamped on them... It's about as broad as it is long.

The 1800 wing has gobs of smooth, quiet, reliable power and will for mile after mile after mile after mile... I've personally seen 1500's with over 200,000 miles on them. As good as the power is the brakes are even more impressive. The sucker will STOP. Right now. Handling is impressive too, especially when you consider what it is. Tons of well thought out storage space, and some of the best, if not THE best rider comforts and ergo's in the industry.

Can't take anything away from the Harley. Great bike that does a great job, just in a different way. I haven't actually thrown a leg over that particular bike so I can't give an honest viewpoint or first hand opinion.

Either one will get you where you want to go in comfort and style. You just need to figure out how much comfort and what kind of style you want.

Good luck!!!
both are good rides. just depends on what you want to spend mile after mile on. if i had to choose it would probly be the harley cause i do my own wrenching. but as far as American made? not HARDLEY.
