Getting restless need help to make up my mind PLEASE ???? |
Me and two very close friends of mine.2 years ago we was Biking in Europe .what should have been 6 months tour.it turned out to be 18 months.before we got back to UK..we started from France to Spain .crossing in to Africa and just doing the top part of Africa .Algeria .Libya .Egypt back in to Middle east bypassing Iraq cost us 2 months had to go to Turkey and then continued to China to Mongolia...then we started the home run by cutting across what use to be the eastern block.into Europian union.to many countrys to name..sorry about the geography lesson My question is .we been back 7 months and we decided to do it again we agreed to go march 2007..but I want to go now I am getting restless need to go by new year..I can finde other friends on the way..it's not a problem ..but this time i like to spend little more time in India and China .but it's so difficult in China to move around .need permition to travel anywhere.What do you say .go without my friends and find new friends???? can see your dilemma but i think you best wait for your trusted mates , as you have all got through this together so its tried and tested .. how well do you know these new Friends and how will they react under pressure like your old Friends did when you really need them ..... i know the planets a smaller place due to planes but is still a long way from the UK when you need it !!! Wait till March & go with old friends, you know how each other ticks if you get what I mean Would you really enjoy it that much with the "new" friends? Would it be worth ditching your friends for? Ithink you should do what ever you want to do. If ud prefere to do it alone then im sure your friends would understand. Follow your gut instinct. Have fun!!!! You really have answered your own question. You really want to go now. So go. Remember to be careful in your travels. There are a lot of strange people about who may befriend you for all the wrong reasons. Think twice but most of all enjoy yourself. stick with your old friends and get the best of both worlds meet new ones too on your way that wa y you will always be ok :) Why don't you go on a short break now, meet new friends, and if it turns out to be a big adventure like last time, then you can let your friends know, if not, you'll be back in time to go away with them. You may not meet friends of the same quality as them and feel you need to be with them, but you sound like a friendly person and likely to meet good travel buddies wherever you go..follow your itchy feet...don't get SAD over winter:0) |
