About how much does it cost to fix a bent bicycle rim?

The bike is a 200 dollar bike, a women's diamondback outlook. The back rim is a bent, how much will it cost to fix this?

and IF it cannot be repaired, how much will it cost to replace it?

From a performance standpoint, I would purchase a new rim, or better yet, a local bike shop might have a ream rim in their junk pile. Keep this thought in mind. As you travel the highways and trails, you always see clunkers thrown in creeks and such. I have taken many a clunker home and salvaged rims and such. Having 6 kids and an equal amount of neighborhood kids who needed a bike, this was a cheap and neat way of providing an extra set of wheels for my clunker bikes, and the neighborhood kids.

I'm in the US so the prices I say will be based off of that.

Depending on how bad the wheel is out of true, your cost can change. We typically charge $10-20 for a wheel true, but it can vary depending on the shop.

A replacement wheel: for something on par with what you have you'd be looking at anywhere from $25-45.
