Is it true that you can make $125.00 an hour repairing bikes?

Is it true that you can make $125.00 an hour repairing bikes?

if you own the shop... and charge that much.... the reality of it is that even if you own your shop the most you will make is around 60 maybe 70 bucks an hour and that is if you are good and have ther clientel that are willing to pay that...

No.
Ran the 3rd largest service department in New England and made NOWHERE near that much.

I don't think N.A.S.A. is into the bike repair business.

The owner of the shop may charge the customer $125.00 per hour but the slug doing the actual work will never earn that per hour.

well after my local honda shop switched owners, the labor rate went from $60 an hour to $100 an hour.

Maybe, if you can find some suckers for customers. the odds of finding enough people that will pay you that much to fix their bikes are very slim.

the shop I left 2 years ago charged $100 an hour,The highest paid guy in the shop made $20 per booked hour. They don't charge by the actual hours worked, but how long the book says it should take. the book is always low, I think. but if you are 6.5 times faster then the assembly line, not counting diagnostics, I guess you could. you would have to be near an interstate , catching customers on the fly, because they won't be back.

the only way you can get 125.00 dollars
a hour is if you name is Jessy James.

The top 2 guys at the top of the page are right. The dealers will say they charge that much but they certainly don't pay that to their workers.

Also everyone knows that the bike shops are very seasonal businesses and in the rainy seasons they don't make much money but in the sunny seasons they can rake it in.

This is why a lot of bike shops have jet skis and water related vehicles as the summer time is great for dealers.

You triying to cut my prices???

But for real try around $60 Im really a builder but my shop time is $40 if i do take on a repair job but i dont have the overhead a repair shop has

Yep, and you can make millions in real estate without ever leaving your home...call now!!!

If so, let me know where that shop is, so I can quit my current job!

The shop I deal with charges $45/hr for labor. The dealers charge around $80/hr. Do the math.

NO
