I am having trouble wit my 99 Polairs Trail boss 250.? |
The starter is not working, it is an automatic so it has the back up pull start. which is also not starting the bike. does anyone have any helpful websites or anything to help wit the problem. i do not have a repair manual. any help would be appreciated. Thank you! make sure its getting gas,i just got rid of one like that and when the starter went out on it ,it would still start good with the pull rope ,you have to use the choke until it hits for the first time then take the choke off then the next time you pull it ,it should start and run if not replace the spark plug in it,those go bad pretty often on those,that's one reason i got rid of mine it was giving too many problems,good luck on getting it started. When you say the starter is not working, do you mean when you press the start button nothing happens, or the the starter motor turns, but the engine won't start up and run? |

I bike to work in Redmond maybe 3 times a week and ride the bus the other two. It keeps me in... loose or over-tight engine mount bolts bent rims, or bad tires under or overinflated tires ...firstly its the bike not you that needs fixing thats a bonus in itself,... get ringing round breakers yards for the bits you need it will be cheaper than buying new. you could streetfighter it or ... I like the 3rd one the best! ...Contact your local bike shops. Many either do classes or know where you can take some classes. If you have an REI near you try them as well they also give free maintenance classes. ...It depends what year it is , i have a 2002 motorcycle and never used a trickle charger , but if its new get the extended warrenty , ride it hard , do check it over before you ride look at the tir... |
