NS125F Headgasket Fault?

My Honda NS125-FH and its under repair due to a coolant loss problem occuring!!
basically the standard headgasket u buy from fowlers dont fit, so I relised its got a bigger piston and cylinder sleeve. i measured it straight across with a tape measure and its 66mm instead of the standard size 56mm, so what could I do to get a headgasket that fits? the standard headgasket size is too small, causing the piston to hammer the headgasket when it comes to TDC Stroke, ( which aint gonna do any favours? )
fowlers the honda motorcycle partsonly do the standard size which fits the 56mm bore :s

any ideas?

p.s i dont have a clue who changed the piston ect. i brought the bike without any history, but the barrel says 124cc on!!
so i guess they havent changed the barrel. but have only changed the cylinder sleeve and piston ect. .

so im guessing it isnt a bigger barrel but just a bigger sleve

Try calling TTS performance ltd on 01327 858099 although they deal mainly with 4 strokes they can supply over sized head gaskets, maybe they could put you in touch with a manufacturer of 2 stroke gaskets. PS years ago i had a NS125 with a malossi180cc big bore kit on it it ran fine and went like stink. Hope this helps.

As I said before
Busters or M&P
both sell after market bits for this bike and others like it
Also try David silver Honda spares
All do mail order, ALL will be at the london motrorcycle show at Excell in January

Fowlers will only supply you with standard bits, Legally that is all they are obliged to do.
I believe your engine has been taken out to 150CC
Look for standard parts and return the engine back to 125CC trust me you'll find an improvement. Running the larger bore is going to destroy your crank as the mass of the components are now out of balance
Flog the barrell and oversized piston on Ebay to recoup some of the costs

Hello chuck, me again!.......google stan stephens and look at his site
he has tuned 2 strokes since before I was in nappies and really REALLY knows his onions!

He sells the big bore kits and all spares for them inc the overbored gaskets.

He is a sound no bull bloke and he will get ya bike running good!...............glad you found the problem!
