I get paid by personal cheque. What can i expect to pay in taxes, and what can i claim?

I am currently working for a private at-home pet care company, and i get paid by the hour ($11, usually about 35 hrs/week), but by personal cheques. Occassionally i do extra jobs as well, which pay by the day.

I have been saving a bit of each pay cheque to put towards taxes, but does anyone know how much i can expect to pay?

Also, i use my own car, so ive heard i can claim a portion of gas money and repairs. Will this take off a significant amount of money off the taxes i end up paying? Id say 80% of my car use is for work.

Also, ive heard that for certain jobs you can claim things you wouldnt really think of, like a bike mail courier can claim a portion of grocery bills, as they need to eat more in order to perform their job etc. So, i walk for about 6 hours out of my day for work, can i claim food? And since i use my car for work, could i claim things like professional cleaning?

Is it worth it to hire someone to do my taxes for me, so they know what all i can claim?
