I really need a website that shows how to repair road bicycle STI shifters.? |
We've ruled out any cable problems. Any info out there? Thanks! "repair" ? No. With Shimano stuff, the word is "replace" Seriously, it's not meant to be repaired or serviced beyond ordinary lube and adjust. Sorry. Scott You don't repair Shimano shifters, you replace them. All hail Japanese manufacturing! Perhaps you should consider Campagnolo for your next bike... Time for a new shifter if you think it's the problem. Campy are no walk in the park to fix either so stop beating up on Shimano. STIs can't be repaired. Shimano doesn't make replacement parts. As for 'beating up on shimano', no one said repairing ergopower was easy, just that it at least _can_ be done, unlike shimano. Still, you're better off replacing the STI shifters than converting to campy. You can get good used STIs on ebay real cheap. If you convert to campy, you'll need shifters and derailleur...way more cash. |
