How do you true a bicycle rim? |
If anybody has information on how to "true" a rim (and what exactly it consists of) please let me know! If I need to get a repair stand or extra accessories that would be helpful as well. Thanks! By adjusting the spokes it is a lot harder than it appears each spoke needs to be adjusted i would recomend taking it to someone not to expensive adjusting the spokes and spinning the weel after to make sure the rim is getting to the point where you wanted. Adjusting the tension on the spokes will true the rim, But unless you have some experience at this, it's best to take it to a bike shop. It's an inexpensive repair. "the bicycle wheel" by jobst brandt will teach you nearly everything you need......with a lot of practice |
