I need a new tire for my bicycle. Is there any place to find a 27" solid foam tube? |
You know.. those solid ones, that never need to be inflated? Are they even worth it? Also... The tire goes flat rather quickly, but only when there is weight on it. Could it be the valve/ or what should I check for in case it can be repaired. I cycle for transportation, (saves gas, lol) and would like to keep both of my bikes in "running" condition- Both have different purposes- one is used with a cargo trailer, and the other one is for short rides. Thanks!!! Websites will help, also. =) Your butt will hate you for solid tires. Get some tire sealant called Slime from your local bike shop, it will prevent flats. It's a goo that quickly fills in holes once you get them. You may have a slow leak so remove your tube and replace with a new one (unless you want to ride on a patched tube which is not the best thing to do, failure is more likely). All tubes lose air over time. Having to pump up after every 2-3 long rides or every 4 days is normal. Since you use your bike regularly, get a floor pump and a minipump to attach to the bike. You'll quickly appreciate the benefits of having a floor pump. Get one with a metal barrel (Blackburn, Topeak, Nashbar...) try walmart there not worth it i had those i would get the reg ones at wal mart get the ones with the gue in em u dont have to enflat them either but those hard ones arent no good. and if u would like a web site i would try ebay.com solid foam filled tires will give you a rough ride. j go to wal-mart to find a tire. only get the solid tires if they will last longer and come to be less exspensive.asfor your flattened tire carefully check to see if there might be a hole. Wal-mart where I live doesn't sell 27" tires!!!!!!!!! I think you should go to a local bike shop for help!!!!!! |
