Complicated question about people? |
Why don't people understand that their stuff is their responsiblity? I mean you bought that car, mattress, bike, coffee, chesseburger (insert product name here) and its your job to take care of it. You own a house- when the lights don't work- they're your lights. When you don't lose weight- its not Slim Fast's fault... People are so quick to demand warranty repairs, and try to blame someone else, and make it someone else's problem. It just seems to me that people want to bury their heads in the sand and expect someone else make all their problems go away rather than deal with their own problems and take responsiblity for their own stuff. What do you think? What are some ways or examples in which you took responsiblity for your actions? People understand that their things are their responsibility, but they also understand that if they play stupid and yell loudly enough, they can get other peoples' money to resolve their own issues. I have 4 kids. The local school system is always crying for more money. I think they have enough, so when they fail to teach my kids something I want them to know, instead of joining the parents crying for an increased school budget, I teach my own children whatever the school didn't. My kids = my responsibility. Yep. "expect someone else make all their problems go away rather than deal with their own problems" ... that's a very big problem in our world. Over lots of different categories. People are spoiled, lazy, whiners. Take responsibility for your own situation. That's why I'm a conservative and not a liberal. I, being rather independent, find it most convenient to handle my problems myself. I don't trust others to take care of them. I guess I am kind of a control freak about my own issues and posessions. If something of mine breaks I want to fix it- I don't like having others try to. Unless you know like my computer broke- then i'd take it to the geek squad at best buy. Warranties almost always come with the condition that the product must be used only as recommended by the manufacturer. Any failure to not follow the manufacturer's recommendations voids the warranty. Therefore the manufacturer is making a claim that his product will hold up for a specified period of time if his recommendations are followed. The manufacturer has made a claim and it is his responsibility to own up to it. Hi Jon, I agree completely. I not only work at an insurance agency, but also at McDonald's. So you can imagine the stuff i go through. I see the same people come to our store every day and order the same crap, and then they wonder. and i wonder why they wonder. they ask me haw i stay so thin. i don't eat that stuff. duh. it isn't hard. Good Question my friend. Hugs Kuka 3 year employee of the Golde Arches (of hell) I became pregnant unexpectedly twice, and chose not to abort my children. If that's not responsibility, I don't know what is... |
