Question for Motorcycle Racers..?

I've owned a few bikes and know a good base around mechanics. I'm looking to get a 96' Suzuki Katana to start drag racing....Question is, for those of you who race, can you give me an estimate of your costs for racing with repairs and racing, etc. Not including winnings. Thanks a lot.

First advise: Loose the 96 dinosaur. Get a Busa.

If you are asking this question then you really know nothing about the race / drag circus.

You can do it on the cheap, but will get nowhere.

I'm with the guy below. drag racing will kinda get you no where any time fast. if your gonna go with a fast (top of the line) drag racing bike. buy the hyabosa or the Harley(number two dragsters)
