How expensive is it to repair a Kawasaki Ninja 500? |
Hi, First bike and the guy who sold it to me gave it to me for $1600, but he dropped it the night before I was supposed to pick it up. The fairing is cracked. I rode around on it and it has held. But it is pretty loose. What kind of money am I looking at to repair it? PS I thought this was a beginners bike! This thing is heavy! The upper fairing is about $650. The bracket is about $150. The windshield is about $140. Add 2-3 hrs for labor @ $90hr. You be the judge. Your best bet would be to find used parts at a motorcycle salvage yard. Call around to body shops that do fiberglass repair (boat repair shops do this also). To repair the crack could cost up to $200-$300. Add another $100 for painting. Go sit on a Harley sometime, and see what a really porky ride is all about. pull the fairy, i mean fairing off, mount the headlight, instant streatfighter. |
