I fell off my bike and broke my nose,its ugly,doctors said to leave it as is,question below.? |
should I have my nose rebroken, i hate it, it is huge,also does anyone know of a good surgeon to repair it, ,it ontario,,thanks, colleen you should check with your insurance. lots of insurance companies will pay for it to be fixed since it happened in an accident (and its not like you just wanting to get a nose job) I had this procedure done and it was not a pleasant operation. The ENT had to use a local and i was awake the whole time Deviated Septum? well, i won't let him do that to me or have my tonsils out either as i had this done when i was 25 and i was in the hospitla for three day and i felt a lot of pain for over a week? How will we know if your nose is huge, your doctor said leave it alone. if it's not broken don't fix it. he he it is broken . well leave it alone . Do you not trust your doctor. So sorry to hear you broke your nose. Unfortunatly, it will never be the same again. The closest you will get is to have surgery. Be sure to bring old pictures to they see how it was. Good luck! First, I think that you should get another doctor's opinion. If he says that you should get it fixed, ask him to refer you to a surgeon. Doctors may just want to evaluate the internal healing before they do anything cosmetic. That can happen at any time, but they need to establish first that the septum and the internal passages weren't damaged. Talk with your doctors and ask why they don't want to reshape it for you. Then you can base your decision on solid fact. Some doctors are rather cavalier about noses. As long as you can breathe in and out, they're happy. Others are more understanding. So ask your current doctors for more information, then decide what you want to do and if you want to go for the nose job, find yourself a good plastic surgeon. There are lots of them in Toronto. Good luck, Colleen. if your nasal septum is straight leave it and it will be complatly cured withen 3 weeks if its shified to any side u need an orthopedic to to fix it with plaster of paris DR.Ghassan |
