Can a motorcycle be fixed by an insurance company if insurance is bought after the motorcylce has been wrecked |
I wrecked my 2006 Kawasaki Ninja 636 ZX6R and was wondering if I bought insurance for it would the insurance company help repair the bike. Well, why WOULD they? Just to be nice?? Why don't you ask your next door neighbor to pay to fix your bike, instead? It's the same thing. If you bought collision coverage for the bike, and didn't disclose that it was wrecked, then lied to file the claim, to see if they would cover it, then 1. most likely the adjuster will be able to tell it's old damage 2. you're looking at insurance fraud, which is subject to prosecution and 3. they're likely to cancel your policy for misrepresentation. If you tell them that the damage occurred before the coverage was in effect, then you don't have a claim. Pretty straightforward! Source(s): agent, 20+ years That's wishful thinking. NO, you can't buy insurance after the fact. Nope, sorry! I would say, No. You'll need to prove you had insurance on the bike before it was wrecked. No, because a police report always has to accompany the claim so they can see the date and time of the accident. NOOOOOOOOOOOO! That's like buying a life insurance policy for someone who is dead. Insurance companies are not in the business to hand money over. Unless you buy insurance for a brand new car that is not yet off the lot, the insurance company requires an inspection before giving you collision and comprehensive insurance |
