I have decided either a Honda cr125 or a Honda crf150 which to buy?

ok thanks to everyone i have narrowed down my search its beetween a Honda cr 125cc bike and a Honda crf150 i am just wondering which one should i get and can i race on them?

The 150F cannot really be raced, but the 150R obviously can. The choice will depend a lot on your height, The 125 will be a good bit taller than the 150R or F. Also if you plan to race your age is a consideration. The 150R is raced in the mini class against 2 stroke 85's. Most tracks have an age limit of 15 for the mini class, so if you're 16 for instance you won't be able to race that class.

intended purpose of bike (motocross, trails, play riding, cross country, enduro)

If you are talking about a crf150f and not a crf150r, I would get the cr125. But the cr125 and crf150 are totally different sizes the 150 is for some one sort of small or maybe a younger person, the 125 is for more taller and stronger people.

I'd get the cr125.

if you're gonna race, get the cr125

crf150, is generally a trail bike (yes they have motocross specific models) but if you're gonna race and can ride a cr125, you'd need a crf250r or similar to race.

I would choose a cr 125, u would then have 2 choose from a crf 150 r which is a racing one and a crf 150f trail bike, its more a small kids bike but .cr125s are a nice big bike and have a bit of oomf

get a crf150 its faster if you wanna race and you can grow into it cuz if you grow after buying the 125 youd be screwed cuz it wold be really small so get the 150
