450 vs. 250f MX bike?

hi, i just sold my POS honda 125(thank god) and i am going to 4-strokes. i found 2 bikes. a 2003 yz450f(stock) and a 2003 yz250f(lightly modded). i can get the 450 for 1800 or the 250f for 2000. i spoke with both owners and i kind of trust the 450 owner more because he knows what he is talking about. BTW i am 6'0'' 170lbs. 15 yrs. old and have been riding for 3-4 years. i strictly ride/race motocross. so what would be better?

Assuming that you were riding a two stroke it will be about as powerful as a 250f, (250f's are a little more powerful but not by much).

If you think you can handle a 125(2t) perfectly you probably can do the same with a 250f, if you have been using all the power you can get out of the 125 you might want to step up to the 450.
