Racing bike?

what size frame would i need for a racing bike to fit me? General/fitness riding. I'm 6'1".

Do yourself a favor and go to a bike shop to get fitted. The problem arises from how different people are in relation to inseam and torso length, this can cause two people of the same height to actually fit two different frame size bikes.

You would probably ride a 56-58 cm with a standard frame geometry. If you buy a bike at a shop you will be fit for one there, but if you buy a used bike off Craigslist you can adjust the fit by changing the seat height, moving the seat forward or back, changing stem length, changing handlebar height. Try riding the bike at least a few miles before you buy it. For light use/recreational riding, fit is more of a personal preference than anything. If you are going to put in a lot of hard miles, then I would suggest a professional fit since a poorly fit bike can play havoc with your knees, back, and other parts.
