Dirtbike Racing? What does it take and a few questions aswell?? |
What does it take to race dirtbikes..ive been riding for over a year now and im pretty good for a beginner, I dont want to be a pro or anything, but I mean like local races etc, so I dont want any sponsors or anything. First of all im around 5' 3" and im 16, I know im short for my age, but that shouldnt matter. Right now im riding a crf100, which is way too slow for me now, and I want an actual race bike to race. well i think i can help. i don,t think you would wonna buy it used her im a B class rider i race for them green buy one of thes bikes fastes bikes ever im nuber 15 on this site im on the home page good luck man hope you can controll!!!!!!!!!! the power http://www.kawasaki.com/GoGreen/Promotio... i would get the new CRF150f, its a 4 stroke, but they rip amazing, its a bit taller than a 85cc and has more power, its great for any type of riding terrain I say you should get an 85cc because you want a two stroke and they are cheaper. Next, where I live the max age for an 80/85cc rider is 16 yrs old. But they also have an 80/85cc open class where the riders can be any age. The best answer I can give you is that you find the local tracks in your area and contact them. Check their web site if they have one or by phone. Go to a race event as a spectator and pick up flyers and race info on classes and what you need to race. The country I am in you are too old to race a 85cc or a crf150r and would have to go onto either a 2 stroke 125cc or a 4 stroke 250cc. The kx is most likely going to be the cheapest for you, but I like the honda and Yamaha's better. |

hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ...I'm 16, 5'11 and 170 too. I got a YZ125. It's 2-stroke, and it's great. I like them better than the 250f's. I'd go with the 125 2-stroke cause they sound better, ride ...
