Have you found it to be true that once you ride a bike, you'll always be able to ride a bike?

I haven't ridden a bike since I was 12 and i'm 25 now and i'm going to be riding a bike from my friends place to a race we're both running. But I'm nervous about riding a bike in the city considering i haven't riden a bike for so long! so i wonder if you trully just naturally get right back on without trouble

vals, you don't forget. It may be in the back of your mind, but you don't forget.

Get on the bike before your event (obviously to get in shape) and you will find within 5 minutes you will feel like 12 again -- confident and riding hard.

yes until you become quadriplegic.

lol i believe you will be fine...

Yes it is true, though you may be a bit wobbly a first. Do a little riding before you actually need to.

Yes, thats what they say because its very true. You have nothing to worry about. You'll get the hang of city traffic real quick-- you kinda have to. I just was not in shape enough to travel very long distances at first, but it is great exercise you should feel very good about it. Good luck

Yes

You shouldn't have any trouble remembering how to ride a bike, just take it easy until you feel comfortable. Just to be safe I would recommend that you practice riding before you go out and ride in the city. Since you will be riding in the city, make sure you are always aware of everything that is around you. Also, make sure you are visible to other motorists by wearing bright colors or reflective items. When I ride through the city I am very cautious about the cars around me, since a lot of them don't seem to care. Don't rush and take it easy. There are lots of websites with information about riding defensively and how to be safe. I have included one website that offers tips for riding. Enjoy biking and good luck at your race.

Should be just like walking. But it might be alittle scary for a while. I'd practice a bit before riding in traffic though. I've been a serious roadie since 89, and it takes some getting used to.

You will be fine. I would save close riding with others or in traffic until you get your balance back working well.
