It's like riding bike.....or is it? |
Have you found it to be true that once you ride a bike, you'll always be able to ride a bike? Well these days bike riders wear a helmet, and they didn't really do that so much 13 years ago. Also you'll probably find it harder work now as an adult than it was as a child. Other than that, it really is like riding a bike, you should have no problems. I would get on the bike before hand and get your balance back on it, so you don't look like a dork that just started riding a bike. Its try that you can learn when your a kid and when you turn into an adult you can still ride it, it just takes a little adjustment to get use to it again. As with anything you don't do regularly, you won't tend to be as confident or skilled at it as if you were a regular practitioner, but the saying (in my experience) holds true. If there's something you've learned to do, unless you've had some physical or mental handicap occur over time, you should be able to always do that "thing". Ha, I had the same situation as you. It took me a few minutes to regain my balance (but I have balance issues anyway, heh), but other than that, you do pick it back up pretty quickly. It would be a smart idea to practice first. You will do fine!! yes you will be fine! You might be a little awkward at first but sure it will come back to you. Just relax and pretend you are 12 again. |
