Is there any way I can start biking with a partially torn MCL (medial collateral ligament)? |
I slightly tore my MCL (Medial Collatteral Ligament) in my left knee five weeks ago. I bike and racing starts soon and I need to get back to practicing and racing as soon as physically possible. Are there any braces I could use to let me get back t o biking with a slightly torn MCL? any other suggestions or ideas are much appreciated. Yes -- Consult the medical experts. My son did last year. He was recovering from surgery to repair his MCL and they encouraged him to cycle. So there is hope -- BUT BY ALL MEANS do not take his situation to automatically associate it to yours. Do as we did, and consult your doctor. take it easy and ramp it up slowly See your doctor, or a physical therapist. |
