UK question. Why is there no 'top gear' program for bikes? |
You've only got to be present at a BSB round in the summer to see how popular bike racing and the motorbike scene is. So why haven't we got a similar program to top gear or 5th gear covering bikes. And don't go quoting the 'bikes are dangerous bolloxx', i've got a gixxer sat in the kitchen right now and it doesn't look very dangerous to me! That lanky trout Clarkson seems to think that thrashing various supercars is appealing to the public, why should bikes be any different. Men and motors on sky used to run one but it was a bit nerdy and low budget. Richard Hammond gets constantly slagged by Clarkson over his passion for bikes too. Can't understand it myself when the crowds at WSB exceed that for F1 but then those that are in charge at the beeb et al like to ignore the shifts in popular culture and are always lagging far behind. its cos there all scared to ride proper machines lol Bikes are not as fun as cars!! imagine that twit tiff needell on a sports bike. His visor would be full of slavers. There used to be a programme like this on... Men and Motors on SKY... Called 2 Wheels Good Exactlly he same as TOP GEAR Mark is an Idiot... if you get a satallite dish, over across the pond here we have a couple of good shows on speedtv and a good friend of mine pays a yearly fee and gets to watch all of the WSB races online... Many people don't find bikes as interesting as cars. I'm one of them people. |
