Honda's new CRF 150 RB? Is it any good for my friend?

Me and my friend currently have TTR-230's. We do little trail rides about once every 3 or 4 months. We do the club championships, but don't take it seriously as we aren't on race bikes. My friend is looking for a full-on racebike, but isn't quite tall enough for a 250 4-stroke. He's considering a CRF 150 race in the big wheel. He threw a leg over one and it seemed to suit fine, but has never ridden one.
He wants to start racing on a bit more serious level, now that he finds he likes the motocross, but hasn't got a MX bike.
ANYTHING on the CRF 150 RB that you'd like to share, please give us a guide.
Price does not matter at this stage, nor does availability.

First, dont listen to the second guy, he is thinking of the trail 150 hona makes, i know what you are talking about, and i have a friend who has one, its fast and very handleable for a 230 rider. They are nice but that arent aproved buy the ama yet so they have to be raced in 105class, even at the little tracks. I say go for it, no offence but 230's just arent race material and whont get you through the big jumps like the 150r will.

well my friend's little brother has a crf 150 and i have ridden it around. I don't mind it but it doesnt have much top end power or wheely power. They are pretty fast but about as fast as my kx 100.
Well if you like 2 strokes id get a 2 stroke 125 or the 250 4 stroke and lower the suspension.Its really easy to adjust.

I definently would not get the 150.Its incredibly slow!!!! If your a beginer its the all around best bike. But not for racing.The suspension bottoms out easy,no top or bottom speed.Definently not a bike for motocross inmy opinion.

I have a crf150f and it is just like your 230. My friend bought the 150r. I threw my leg over it and fell in love. I am 5'10 200 pounds and it hauled me around like it was on nitro. It is possibly the funnest bike I have ever ridden.
It realy made me wish I had waited another year.
