How Do you fix a jammed kick start? |
I have a TM Racing 125cc dirt bike. A BEAST! I was taking it up fast and the bike just cut off on me while I was haulin ***. then when I went to start it up my kick start was jammed it wont move down at all??? PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!! I need to ride again. Any info will help dont tell me if you dont have a clue.... I need one. Sounds like you may have a locked up engine. maybe the piston seized sounds like something broke inside take it apart its not that hard.parts are high for that bike i know because i have one you might have ceased your engine, that would stop the kick start going down. check that first. then if that's OK put alot of wd-40 or 3 in 1 oil on as many of the moving parts of the kick start as you can leave for about 20 mins then put more on and gently try and move the kick start if it doesn't go any bit put more oil on and leave it again and try later if it still doesn't work you might have gearbox problem's. if its just the kickstart but dont have the Patience to fix it run start the bike and drive on take out the spark plug and look in the hole with a flashlight take ur clutch cover off and check to see if there is anything broken off anything and jammed in between any of the gears if not the crank bearings are seized or the piston is seized why don't you just take it to a mechanic or a maotorbike garage because if you will do all the things then for what are these places opened. |
