I have an 03 banshee, stock motor, it does have a 0.060 shaved head and read valve 3's. I've had the crank tru and welded, I also have T-5 pipes and CSFX silencers. I'm running 300 jets at an elevation of about 5000 above sea level, little sahara, Utah. I'm currently running 111 octane race gas and 91 octane mixed at 40:1. At 300, the plug is on the lean side, went to 320 and the bike falls on it's face. I haven't had a chance to put in 310's yet. At 320, plug is brown, not wet, no gas smell. Why would it have such a dramatic change, anyone else running at high elevation with similar bike, what are you using for jetting? I fear I burned a piston but bike does start.
We live at a 6300 elevation and have 04 Banshees. We run at Killpecker Sand Dunes and use 230 jets. We don't have them ported YET (soon though), but we both have pipes (Pro Circuits on 1 and T-5s on the other) and K&N filters and they're perfect on our bikes. I certainly hope the piston's alright on yours. You may want to jet a little smaller. Here's a good website that might help with your jetting. Best of luck to you.
