I want to sell Harley but I dont know what to ask for it? |
I am thinking of selling my sportster1200 .It has a new paint job belt drive and a 4 gl stretch gas tank. The heads have been ported and polished.It has programmable ignition .21/4 in pipes with a super E carb new tires and seat along with winshield.can someone tell me what its worth. No dumb wise cracks please.The pistons are screaming eagle teflon coated and screaming eagle cylinders.I have a set of screaming eagle pro race heads I might let go with it so consider that when pricing.bike has about 11500 miles on it engine only has about 400 since build A TRUE Harley man would NEVER sell his bike ! check out this website: www.kbb.com kelly blue book. It's what everyone uses to tell the price of cars. Also, look into contacting Jay Leno, if your bike is old, and obscure enough, he might buy it from you. He bought my friend's old fixed up bike. figure out what you have into it and add 10% look it up on the Kelley Blue book site, or call your dealer and ask them for the blue book price. You need to be aware that all the cool things you've done to your bike will not show up in blue book, so I think I would add up all you've spent on it, and take a percentage of that and add it to the blue book price. You can ask anything you want and see if someone will take it. It never hurts to ask! Good luck with your sale. go to ebay and enter your make, model, and year. see what bikes that are similar are going for. if there isn't one the same year, etc. try a year or 2 newer or older.. this is usually a good gauge of what your bike may be worth. good luck Simple.. Go in to a harley place and find out what they are selling their harley's for.. That is one of the best indications as to the price that you should be asking id say 14,ooo or more |
