US MOTOGP Wildcard riders. Good news? |
This just in ................................. (From Soup) "It was confirmed today that long-time Team Honda superbike racer Miguel Duhamel will race the Gresini Honda RC212V as a wild card entry in the 2007 Red Bull USGP MotoGP class in place of injured rider Toni Elias" & "Kawasaki Superbike rider Roger Lee Hayden spent two days in Japan earlier this week where he was given the opportunity to ride the 800cc MotoGP bike." Now that does not mean R.L Hayden will ride at Laguna, but why else fly the dude out to Japan? For noodles! I hope both these boys are on the grid at Lugana, if for nothing else then the massive wheelies R.L will pull on the slow down lap!!! Your thoughts? Gresini Honda are substituting Elias until his leg gets better (hopefully soon) with Michel Fabrizio at Saschenring and Miguel Duhamel at Leguna Seca. Kawasaki confirmed weeks ago at RL Hayden would be riding for them on a THIRD bike at Laguna Seca to help in bike development, Source(s): http://www.motogp.com/en/motogp/motogp_n... niel hodgson is rumored to be on a honda at laguna as well I can't get the whole Kawasaki part...If this guy is trying the bike and they want him on the team, then whose place will he take?! Strange things are going on there :/ As for the Greshini Honda team.. it was normal to try and find someone to replace Toni... I wonder if he is doing better than Elias will they keep him? I liked Toni... he was doing great in his team so I hope they don't kick him out! ;)) Great news to see Duhamel will be on the RC2 It will be good to see him against some different opponents rather than the U.S racers of late. I think with home track knowledge of Luguna he could definitely finish in the top 5. As far as Haydon I hope he does well on the Kwaka too, maybe we could see him in MotoGP as I think Duhamel is a bit long in the tooth to move over now. |
