United Motors Motorcycles...What is that?!? |
Has anyone ever heard of this make...I was on the cycletrader website and came upon this make of motorcycles...they're nice looking bikes that seem to be quite inexpensive, but I've never heard of them which immediately lead me to believe they are of not so great quality. I'm looking for a good, affordable bike just for the enjoyment of a bike and also to get to work and school on some days...I saw this bike and thought about it but am not too sure...what do you all think? Here's a link to a website that has these bikes. the one i'm considering is the 2007 V2S 250R...of course due to the price...not the best engine, but it's not like i'm looking for racing performance or anything like that! http://www.tracksidecycleshop.com/... United Motors is a distributor out of Miami who makes nothing but buys abroad and distributes world wide with their nameplate and dealer network. Typically the warranty is better than the actual manufacturer provides. Most of the United motors lineup is made by Hyosung of South Korea with very little variation. The quality is good as is the warranty. The dealer network is growing. I've owned a few UM, they've shortened the name. I do recommend them at the right price. The 150 scooter is made in China. Both 250 bikes and the two 650 bikes and the 49cc scooter are Korean. m Source(s): 40 years in the business It's an off road type motorcycle ranging in price from $2500.00 - $3000.000. THEY DONT SEEM TO BAD FROM WHAT I JUST SEEN , BUT , A NEW NINJA 250 HAS A MSRP OF $2995 AND THE NINJA HAS STOOD THE TEST OF TIME WITH THE 250 PIPE AND JET IT IT WILL FLY , I KNOW A WOMAN WITH ONE SHE IS TINY THO AT 5 FOOT ABOUT 100 POUNDS SHE CAN BLOW OVER 90 ON IT http://www.kawasaki.com/products/detail.... http://www.powersportsnetwork.com/enthus... http://www.powersportstv.com/2007/united... I think they are Korean and parts are hard to get. No offense to anybody else who answered but they look like a piece of Crap and are untested. I am a Harley owner, but if you want a dependable first bike, stick with the big four(Honda Yamaha,Suzuki,Kawasaki) They make beginer bikes with a price range close to what those turds go for. |
