Dual exhaust? |
I'm getting a 2007 honda motocross bike and it has a dual exhaust and is there any way you can make it so it olny has one exhaust because i dont want to spend $1000+ on an exhaust. And which stroke is better for racing? The dual exhaust you speak of is in the design spec of that machine and actually helps its performance. I suggest not tampering with it. As far as 2-stroke verses 4-stroke...because of environmental issues, the 4-strokes are becoming more and more popular. They are a bit heavier but, they can perform just as well and have more torque. They are also better for climbing hills and riding in mud because the throttle is more controllable verses the snappy response of the 2-stroke. I have raced both and my personal opinion is the 4-stroke is the best bet. But, what is best for "you" is dependent on your riding style. Also in the honda comercials they say that it helps keep the bike balanced. I have seen some factory riders on tv running the dual and then some have converted them back to on single side. It just matters from the header back. Maybe and older crf250 pipe would work just fine on it Just run the stock exhaust the bike is probably more than you can handle in the stock form unless you were the pro on the commercial |
