Formula 1???? |
I am a big fan of moto GP and WSBK. The racing is close with races coming down to being won by 1/1000ths of a second. Top speeds of 210mph+. Unbelieveable overtaking manouveres. Still with the interest of the technical side of tire set ups and Italian V-twins vs Japanese 4-cylinder bikes. Riders have real rivalries on and off the track. My question (and its an honest one) What is the big deal with F1? Compared to the bikes it just seems boring! please explain. i love both formula 1 and moto gp! c'mon rossi!! actually i think moto gp is boring, all the corners are really slow and boring, with formula one theres more adrenaline every part of the track is fast and furious. And a lot more science goes by formula one such as chasees etc whilst moto gp is just a bike. The best race in the F1 calander is Monaco. My boss has a flat there and I have been a couple of times, does not compare at all to seeing racing at Brands Hatch or Silverstone, or any other circuit for that matter. Its all about the cars, the power, the rules, the timings, the pit stops. And for me....I still miss Murray Walker. Schummy will be missed this season, cant stand Montoya, so heres hoping Jenson can start pulling his finger out and doing it for us brits. On F1 there are too much outdated tracks, like Montecarlo, which should be bumped away AT ONCE; modern tracks like in Bahrein can easily offer a way better show for viewers. That's the main issue. this is going to be the most exciting year in formula 1 ever, because (a)the best driver, Alonso has gone to mclaren who are unreliable,(b)the brains behind Ferrari,Ross braun has taken a sabbatical, and(c) Renault have inexperienced drivers, so it will be a very open season Your right but formula 1 is considered more national F1 still holds the fastest lap times, but i think the biggest difference is the science and art behind the cars, you can go into a bike shop and buy a bike that isn't far off race ready for relatively cheep, there are hundreds of them in the streets here in the states, where as nothing on the road compares with an f1 car, and those that come even remotely close are so expensive they are few and far between but rely it boils down to who you are and what you like |
