My friend rode my bike into a wall and now it's realy hard to turn the handlebars and when I pedal, the pedal touches the front wheel. please estimate How much this will cost to repair!!?? and how long it will take!! Your friend bent your fork. Who knows? You'll have to provide more info about the bike to get any real answers. If it's a bmx you can cruise Dan's comp on the web for prices. Otherwise get the bike to your nearest bike shop and ask the mechanic to give you a price on a new fork. If you decide to replace it yourself, because it's not all that difficult to do so, you'll need to take all the parts off the old fork including the headset fork crown race and re-intall it on the new fork. Oh boy!... Perhaps you should take the bike to the mechanic. Figure out how much a fork will cost you. Then either order one on the internet or buy the fork from them and get the mechanic to put it on. Good luck! |
