Which way do i turn the pedal on the right side?

These are the first pedals i wasted(from grinding). Now im changing them and im having problems with the right pedal. im confused which way do i turn it if i have the bike upside down?

what??? ENGLISH or SPANISH PLEASE!

RH (drive) side-standard
LH (non-drive) side-LH thread.

EDIT-With the bicycle upright, the pedal on the right hand side is loosened by turning the axle to the left. On the left hand side, the pedal is loosened by turning the axle to the right.

First put the chain on the big ring gear. saves a lot of blood.
I always tell people they come of to the rear on to the front. If they are on real tight you will need to put your foot on the other pedal to hold them in place.

Facing the right pedal, turn the shaft clockwise to tighten, counter-clockwise to loosen. The left pedal is the opposite: counter-clockwise to tighten, clockwise to loosen.

Just to make sure things don't get confused when you've got the bike upside down, the right pedal is the one you use with your right leg.

Be careful with the chain rings. I've seen the teeth slice up hands pretty badly when changing pedals.

Be sure to put some grease on the threads. Will save lot of blood when taking the pedals off later.

HTH

Whether the bike is up side down or right side up, IF it is the pedal on the chain wheel side of the crank:

Righty tighty -- Lefty Loosey.

The other side is opposite.

DOOD! Just do it in front of the mirror! (That really helps me!)

don't think of it as which way to turn the pedal
think of it as a way of doing things
put the crank pointing forward, put the wrench on pointing backwards and push down

this works on both sides exaclty the same

again:
rotate the cranks until the pedal you want to remove points towards the front wheel
put the wrench on the pedal pointing toward the rear wheel
push down on the wrench without moving the arm

good luck!

The right side (or drive side) is clockwise, the left is counterclockwise. Right is right, left is left.
