How do you determine your bicycle size? |
I am 5'6" and bought a 26in bike, when I sit on it, my feet hit ground, but, not by much. BUT when riding it, I feel like my knees are knocking my elbows and its putting a lot of strain on my knees when I pedal. It is not to big for me. goegraph is right, your not supposed to touch the ground. Raise the seat a bit, and you will see a huge difference, it will be a much more comfortable ride. Leaving it as is could be damaging to the knees. Your feet are not supposed to touch the ground when seating on a bike. Raise the seat by 3 or 4 inches. I dont see how a bike can be too large for her if her knees are hitting her elbows. That makes zero sense. Um, that to large for you remark came from a "bmx fanatic" ofcourse he'd think it was to big... try one of those spongebob squarepants bikes for 8 yr olds, I suppose that would be more fitting for a 5'6. adult? lol. It's too small for you. Or probably the seat is too low, and/or bars too narrow. |
