Im 300 lbs and 13 it hard for me to learn how to ride a bike. please help. any tips? im desperate.?

my problem is i cant put my other foot on the other pedal because its too fat. and i think biking would be a fun way to lose weight please help. i already have the balance down.

first of all make sure then the saddle is the right height for you!! Then just keep on trying it,it will come to you eventually

there are other ways of losing weight

your also a liar

Lose weight through other means first so ccling won't be so uncomfortable. Or use a stationary bike.

there might might not be a mechanical solution other than just losing some weight and keep on trying. at your weight even the smallest lifestyle changes will yield measurable results. u dont need to result to a radical diet just change your portions and dont snack between meals. i did this and dropped 75lbs about 5yrs ago at the age of 35. i now weigh 240lbs and can ride a bike 50 miles easily and 100 miles if i want to. there are a lot of people my size that do this. at your age any changes u make to your body will last a long time so just keep it up!

lose 200 lbs. How can your foot be too fat to fit on a pedal? Try lowering the seat to the point that you can put both feet on the ground.

I call BS.

well when i was around 11 i was a chunky meatball.(lol) i started to do about 50 to 100 situps every other day. i gotten slimmer, and my relatives said i've changed. also try to watch wat u eat. good luck =)

Your bike isn't adjusted to fit you. Your weight has only a little to do with it. I would start by daily brisk 2 -3 mile walks if I were you.

get a flat bed truck or a crane

There are other safer ways to lose weight, check with your doctor. Ride a bike for fun and a way to get around. Try an adult tri-cycle bike, they are strong and will carry your weight. It will also help getting the pedaling motion down and putting less stress on your body at the same time. The chance of falling or crashing is reduced, not being able to ride cause a bad crash sucks. I have seen many of the tri-cycle bikes fixed up with reflectors, lights and painted pretty wild. Also the tri-cycle bikes can be found pretty cheap, the senior set buys one and then cannot ride it anymore. After you build up your body on the tri-cycle bike and drop some pounds, then go for the two wheel bike. You will be strong and ready to rock. But what ever you decided to do, DO NOT QUIT, hang tough, you can get the results you want. I have seen many problems fixed with a little thought, to make the pedals larger for your foot, cut some half inch thick plywood into about a 4 inch by 6 inch block, cut 2 of these for each pedal, total of 4 blocks, then place one block on each side of the pedal and screw them together, now you have a bigger platform for your foot. I have seen the small seats replaced with the banana seats, using 2 metal rods on the back of the seat to mount it to the frame. The main thing, be safe and be smart.
