Why does my bike click when I ride it?

Every since I took it apart and put it in my car, it has been clicking. But, it seems to be more than just a click. Every five or six pedals, it will like jump around gears and make a grinding sound. Hopefully, it is just something I can adjust by the gears. If possible can someone send a link with pictures that could help me. Thanks

Sounds to me like the rear wheel isn't fully seated in the frame.

Loosen the rear wheel, place the bike with the wheels on the ground, and retighten.

Probably shouldn't have went to Taco Bell prior to riding it again. Might want to step on the tredmill for about 20 minutes and then try the bike again. Clicking may go away... Good luck.

sounds like you have knocked something out of adjustment

look at your chain - is it straight
how does it interact with the rear wheel and transmission

all the best

simple. the chain is not propely aliligned with the cogs.

the cable is loose and thats 100% normal. just go to your local bike shop and get them to do that propely.

dont ride it heaps till u get it fixed coz it could b a hazard.
ne way good luck mate

i had the EXACT same problem....i thought it was the rear derailleur...turned out that i had 4 frozen links in the chain....i put a better chain on it and the problem went away immediatley

I personally experienced this that when I walk, I make a squish sound... I thought it was my shoes, but I took them off and it continued. I then took off my clothes to my bloomers and it continued. I tried everything, including rancid bear grease behind the ears, but nothing works. I will be very interested in your resolution...

Since the noise happened after you took it apart and put the wheel back on -- that probably is the answer. Reposition the wheel correctly and make sure the skewer is good and tight.
