Which is better: a treadmill or one of those bike things?

which give a better work out and would just be better to own to use. i'm gonna use it a lot either way. (one of those bike things, the ones that don't move, u just pedal, my aunt told me the proper name of em but i forgot again)
Oh, and i cna't go outside to excersice like walk or anything cause around here i'll probally get shot...

so which is better over all? also, about what price range are they?

i think it's called a stationary bike... hopefully u know what i'm talking about....

I think it all depends on what cardio exercise you prefer and see yourself actually doing. I love running and hate biking, so a treadmill is my preference. But if you enjoy biking, then that might be best for you. Which ever one you actually see yourself sticking with.
If you interested in treadmills the price ranges based on all the gadgets you include. www.treadmilltalk.com will give you a good comparison and rating of treadmills that are $100 - $4,000. Stationary bikes usually range between $100 - $500. Recumbent bikes are also an option, very similar to typical stationary bikes. They just have a full seat with a back to it. They are better for people who need the back support. Good Luck!

I think the bike is better, personally.
We just got rid of our treadmill and got one of the stationary bike things and I find them much more comfortable. I feel like I'm actually doing something.
Running naturally feels better then using a treadmill.
