Force and Science...Please Help?



You are riding your bike down a hill, then up a small hill to a level road...

Where would you apply a great force to the pedals so that the direction of the bike stays the same?

you have to put more force when you ride up the hill.
I think it's a trick question.

If the hill you're going up is smaller than the one you came down you wouldn't need to pedal.
