My knee keeps hitting the handle bar while taking a slight turn?

i have a mountain bike and when ever i am turning while pedaling My knee barely hits the handle bar! but when i am going straight it doesn't hit it! what do i do? plz be serious!

This is a position problem and could have several probable causes

Assuming that you haven't changed anything:

Your Saddle is way to low. Your leg should be almost, not quite locked straight when your pedals are bottom-dead-center. If your saddle is to low it means that your knees stick way our and you can hit the bars. Check and see if your seat post has slipped

Your handlebars are too low - if your bars are 10 or 20 cm below the saddle they could hit your knees, especially if you ride a very wide bar. Try raising the bars until they are nearly even with the saddle.

Your frame is too small -this would also cause the other two things. Small frames are a fad because people perceive them as stiffer (Though that isn't necessarily a good thing) but if you can't get the position right then the stiffness just translates into an uncomfortable ride

A combination of the above

Your frame has a funny front end with lots of "trail" in the fork and very slack frame angles.

If this is something and that didn't used to happen then you need to look and see if you have bent your frame.

In any event, if you can't get it right go to a bike shop and ask
Raise the seat and the handlebars.
Raise your handle bars a little
raise the handle bars and lower the seat
Raise your seat and handle bars both 1/2 inch.
There are MINIMUM INSERTION marks on the Steerer Stem and the Seatpost... IT IS VERY IMPORTANT that you DO NOT go past these marks - frame failure can result.

Seriously - sounds like you bought a poor fitting department store bike, and NOT a bike from a professional bike shop.

"One size fits all" does not "fit" when it come to bicycles.
