Was this fair...? |
For my sisters birthday, which is February 2, she got a Nintendo DS. For my birthday, I got a 70 dollar bike. Here, a Nintendo DS costs 130 dollars. My sister said, "That isn't fair that Erika got her birthday present before her birthday!" First of all, it was the night before my birthday. Second of all, my dad wouldn't be here the next day because he was taking a trip up to Delaware. And just a few days ago, she got mad at me because I wouldn't let her ride my bike so she threw it down on the ground and the pedal broke off. Is that fair of my parents to do that? You got the better deal. You got a bike you can ride outside - she has to sit in the house with her video game. You're free, she's stuck in the house. It's not right that she broke your bike though, but I'm sure you parents will say you should have shared. Oh well. Sorry. Your sister sounds like a brat, there was nothing wrong with it. Its not really fair. But is there a age difference? You all shouldn't be worrying so much about materialistic things, it's rather shallow. Soon years will go by and you'll laugh about this day No. In a calm way explain how your sister is acting. Spoiled and out of control. Let them know how you feel but be an adult about it. They can't please anyone. Take it as a compliment that they thought you would be mature enough to handle the fact that you didn't get something as glamorous as your sister did. She seemed to have been a brat about it and you didn't go ruining any of her stuff so think about it that way, they must have been right... you are mature enough to handle getting a less expensive gift. |
