How can I find Insurance for Flying a Pedal cycle to Australia ? |
My daughter is a Junior British Triathlete and is going out to Australia to train for the next 3 or 4 months . But i can't find an Insurance comp/ policy to cover her bike whilst in transit or abroard. Any one Help ... Just to check before you even look for insurance are u sure that the airline will take the bike as some won't and very few will fly bikes with hydraulic brakes and/or haver lots of conditions on transporting bikes Oh like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, yea they don't really make those flying bicycles sorry. try snowcard.co.uk They insure you for higher risk activities as well as insuring your kit i have used dhl formally omega please ring 08701 100 300 that is their international air express number,considering you will get door to door service there and back.it should work out cheaper in the long run for not having to arrive at the airport and check in your bike and await for it to be unloaded once in oz. it cost me 拢18 including insurance to deliver a bike i sold from hampshire to devon arrived next day.it works on weight but they will advise you. |
