Where can I buy a flashlight that gets powered by my bicycle? |
I want a flashlight that hooks up to my bicycle and gets powered by me turning the pedals. Most bicyle shops have headlights that are powered by generators you hook to your back wheel. When you peddle it turns the generator and gives you some light. The only problem is that you have to keep on peddling for it to stay lit. this looks really cool magnets on your bike wheels! http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/gadgets/reeli... I would try a bicycle store...but the type of light you are looking for may not be manufactured any longer (but there may be a modern version) ....it connected to the front tire and when the front wheel rotated it turned a wheel that generated power to the flashlight....the flashlight shut off when u stopped pedaling. any sports store will have what you're looking for and be sure to check your local bike shops too. To be honest a light generator on your wheel actually will slow you down.Cats eye has a few decent led lights that work on batteries because I said so if that is not good enough for you go find sombody else |
