A woman on a bicycle traveling at 13 m/s on a horizontal road stops pedaling as she starts up a hill inclined?

at 2.0掳 to the horizontal. Ignoring friction forces, how far up the hill will she travel before stopping?

use vectors to find out the speed in the horizontal direction and vertical direction

13 cos (2)
13 sin (2)

and find the resultant vector which will give the real speed of the biker

Square root of (( 13cos(2))^2 + (13sin(2)^2))

and then use a constant acceleration to find the x value
I would use kinetic energy in this situation. The work done by gravity must be equal to her initial kinetic energy when she comes to a stop on the hill. The change in gravitational potential energy is the work done by gravity. So,

1/2mv^2 = mgh

m's cancel, and divide by g get:

height = v^2/2g or 8.61 m after you plug in the values for v and g
