Physics in Action!! Need help on Physics!!!!!?

How does the length of the pedal arm on a penny-farthing bicycle affect the amount of torqe applied to the front wheel?

Torque is also known as moment, and its unit is Nm (Newton meter)
The formula: torque = Fd, where
F is the applied force
d is the distance from the fulcrum to the line of force.

Visualize a circle, with the fulcrum as the center. Let its radius be d, and F is a tangent of the circle perpendicular to its radius.

As torque = Fd, the longer the length of the pedal arm, the greater the amount of torque applied to the wheel.
