What is your happiest memory from your childhood? |
Mine is meeting my father every evening on his way home from work. I was only a toddler at the time and my father, (who has been dead now for many years), would let me stand on the pedal of his big, black bicycle and push me the rest of the way home. He always had a little bag of sweets in his pocket and I would get one of them every time. When I was 6 years old I had a neighbor who was about 80 years old and his name was Johnny Johnson. He taught me how to tie my shoes and he made rainbows with his hose outside while watering his lawn. He would make a rainbow then let me hold the hose and I would be so excited about it and laugh with delight at the sight of the rainbow. He also made bubbles with the hose by turning the water down and I thought that was really neat too. He was the only friend I had and the only nice person that I knew. That's why I still remember his name to this day 33 years later. my family friends and pets wow you realy made me happy thanks awww he died? thats sad he sounds to be sweeter than those candies I am the product of an alcoholic family, which if you dont know means I dont get to enjoy most of my childhood memories they are jsut vague distant feelings and an occational image. About the only thing that comes close is I liked lying in the sun in front of huge bay windows. when i got the gameboy colour for scoring well in my exams When my kid brother was born, I was five. I remember sitting in the back seat of the car and looking over my Moms shoulder at him. My favourite memory from childhood was when I was in Jamaica playing with my cousins and friends and I use to climb trees, play cricket, football, dandyshandy and water war without a worry in the world, I miss that now because now I'm older but I might try it agen someday soon :) Awww, that's so sweet, I remember doing the same as a wee girl, his bus would drop him off at the end of our road and on a fine day I'd sit and wait for him, my dad also passed away two years ago and these memories bring back happy times!!! |
