Science Fair madness-How can I power a bike with a resuable resource that includes a fan?

The school I go to in eight grade is making us do science fair. My teacher however gave none of us any clues as to how we should start off, my partner doesnt even have a 30 page packet yet. Projects are due in 2 weeks, and a rough draft reports is due Thursday

What can I use to power a bicycle, like a reusable resource to give the rider a boost of speed for his pedaling

A model or website would absolutely be apreciated

They have little "motors" that you can add onto a bike that use the energy from the wheel turning to charge the batteries, and then you can coast and the motor kicks in. It's like a back and forth kind of energy, like those little toys that you run backwards and then they roll forward for a much longer time.

The main thing in a science fair project is to use the scientific method without fail. Keep your experiment simple, because they don't care about the experiment....they care about you doing it according to the scientific method. If you keep close to that, and label your project accordingly, you'll do fine.

Good luck!
