About my new Triumph Speedmaster wheel lock?

I can't figure out how to lock the front wheel of my 2005 Triumph Speedmaster. It doesn't just twist and click into place like my other bike. I've tried shifting the angle of the wheel position and that won't work either. I don't want to break the key by twisting it too hard.

If you're talking about the steering lock.
1= turn bars to the left. 2= insert key. 3=turn key left.
press key and lock in. 4= while key and lock are in, turn to the right and remove key.That's how my speed master works.

That type of lock are the easiest to break and can result in headstock damage when they are broken, use a disc lock or carry a chain in a tailpack (not wrapped around you 鈥?that is a good way to get internal injuries).
