Keeping my Motorbike safe at night?

I dont have a Garage or a back garden suitable for storage, so what do you think the chances of someone stealing a bike that is parked in the front garden just below my window, a dummy cctv camera pointing towards it. Disc lock, a thick chain to a ground anchor, alarm and cover?

Seems like you have ,,taken all safety Precautions,,,,Good Luck,,,,

I think that most people don't steal motorbikes but the ones that do will either see it as a threat or a challenge. I think that you're more likely to not have it stolen if you secure your bike well. If it's alarmed then it's even less likely. But just for precuation do you have insurance?

that sounds quite safe, problem is these days if a thief wants something they will find a way of getting it

Your chances of keeping that bike are thin mate.

I know a guy who had 2 bikes nicked after the scum took his wooden shed roof off !

Find a good neighbor with a garage and rent it of him. Your insurance will go down aswell.

Also, you would be betteposting this in the motorcycle section, as it has nothing to do with racing.

i think its good. i mean thats a lot of security but then u never know, i mean theres stupid people out there that do stupid stuff. but you should be good.

I think that I would be finding a way to bring the bike into the house. That may sound odd but I know of at least one pro rider that when having to transport his own bike would take it into the hotel room he was staying at.

The thing is you can chain it up and lock it down as much as you want but it isnt just the people that want to steal it that you have to contend with but vandals. There are lots of things on a bike that can be damaged or removed by a studious criminal.

I would also think of asking a neighbour if you could rent space in their garage.

go spend the extra few bucks on a real camera and VCR.... I can tell you from experience there is nothing like finding your bike gone and not having video .....you only need one 12 hour tape,,,,,,,

You have done all you can, but if you can out of site is out of mind, would you consider a bike shed. http://www.trimetals.co.uk/motorcycle-st...

in the house. clean it thoroughly, lay down a beater rug for it to sit on, and you're good.

THERE'S ALWAYS ROOM IN THE HOUSE FOR A BIKE.

I put my motorcycle in my room.

Remodel your front door and bring the bike inside the house at night. Hope you live on the first floor.
