What would you do if..................?? (about bike stealing)?

..... if one sunny day you are walking to where people leave their bicycles and suddenly see there is NO your bicycle. Now the thing comes... There are other's bicycles there and you see a person locking or unlocking his bicycle. This person looks at your shocked face and asks what's wrong. You say your bicycle is stolen, then this person asks pointing at the bicycle he's at: is this your bicycle ??

Now this person revealed himself. Why would he ask whether the bicycle he's seemingly locking/unlocking is YOURS ?? Seemingly he has stolen your bicycle and now he is stealing the bicycle next to it and wants to make sure it is not yours so that nothing would happen to him. Isn't that stupid ?? What would you do in this situation if being serious ???

If it were mine, I would attempt to take it back. I'm like that, I don't like people stealing my stuff.

What else can be done? Seems everyone has a cell phone with a cam now days. Capture his image and dial 911. If he runs, you can report it to the authorities with positive ID of who the perp is.

I hope this question is hypothetical not something that really happened to you. Having your bike stolen is a pain.

idk
why do you want to know??

i would tell him."yes that is my bicycle"

I would tell him yes and i would look around to see if my bike was anywhere near, incase its not gone yet

I would check it was mine and if it was kick him in the nuts take my bike and pedal!!!!

Uh, grab the lock that he's just "unlocked" and beat him to death with it? If only all bike thieves could receive thier just desserts...

Hey Chris,

-I would ask him, "Why did you take my bike and now give it back to me!". If he refuses and gives me an attitude I would take out my 16oz Alaskan Bear Pepper Spray from my backpack and let him have it right on his face then his whole body. As he is screaming and rolling on the ground from pain, I would then take my bike back and call the 5-Oh to arrest the criminal for Grand theft bike. My bike is worth way over $400 and anything stolen worth over $400 in California is considered Grand Theft and is a Felony.
-Yup, that's what I would do if some guy took my bike and refused to give me back my bike.
